IRVING, 2017-Aug-17 — /EPR Retail News/ — Dust off your sand buckets, punchbowls, beach cups or other unique containers. The highly anticipated Bring Your Own Cup (BYOC) Day is back at participating 7‑Eleven®stores Aug. 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.

On BYOC, Slurpee® fans can fill a cup, or container that can serve as a cup, with their favorite Slurpee drink or try 7‑Eleven’s newest Cotton Candy Slurpee flavor.

Regardless of cup size, the cost is $1.50, which is the price of an average medium Slurpee drink. All cups must be leak-proof, safe, sanitary and fit upright within the 10-inch diameter BYOC display cutout in stores. Please leave trash cans, kitchen sinks and inflatable swimming pools at home, as they are not eligible.

To up 7‑Eleven’s cup game, available through the end of August, customers can also purchase an exclusive shiny, selfie-inducing Chrome Dome Slurpee cup and lid. The metallic dome top is perfect for taking funhouse-style reflective photos to share on Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

That’s when the world’s largest convenience retailer will bring back its Buy One-Get One (BOGO) Slurpee® drink promotion with an exclusive new flavor that sibs – as well as those “love-them-like-a-brother/sister” friends – can share.

The week-long, Buy One-Get One Free Slurpee drink event begins Monday, April 10, and ends Sunday, April 16. Any size Slurpee cup is eligible at participating 7‑Eleven stores.

Customers who buy any size or flavor Slurpee drink can receive a second Slurpee drink free. The free Slurpee drink can be the same size as purchased or smaller.

Available exclusively at 7‑Eleven stores, the featured Slurpee flavor during the BOGO is the first ever Trolli-branded Slurpee flavor – Pineapple Lime. As part of the first Trolli flavor promotion, 7‑Eleven stores rolled out Trolli Sour Brite Sloths gummy candy. With arms that link, the sour sloths can hang around before being devoured.

Preliminary exit polling reveals that the clear winner after each 2016 Presidential Debate will be American coffee lovers. The day after the three presidential debates, 7‑Eleven will offer fresh-brewed coffee in its extra-large 7-Election™ Stay-Hot Cups – for just $1.

The first Dollar Coffee Day occurs tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 27, after the first debate and lasts all day at participating U.S.7‑Eleven stores. Coffee-quaffing voters simply need to download the 7‑Eleven mobile app, select one of the three 7-Election Presidential coffee cups, fill it to the brim … and scan the app for the dollar deal. The straws retail for $1.49 at participating stores.

Accompanying the collectible straws are new novelty Slurpee cups reminiscent of vintage glass milk bottles. Suggested retail price for the refillable, plastic cup is $2.99 and that includes the first Slurpee fill. DALLAS, 2015-4-9 — /EPR Retail News/ — Bring your carafes … beakers … goblets … jars … or anything else that could even remotely be considered a cup to a 7‑Eleven® store this Saturday. Then fill it up with … Slurpee® deliciousness.

7‑Eleven is kicking off Slurpee season on April 11 with BYO Cup Day. Slurpee-lovers are invited to bring their own cups – or containers that can be used as cups – to their participating neighborhood 7‑Eleven store between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., and fill it with their favorite Slurpee flavor.

The cost to fill the Slurpee “cup” of choice, regardless of size, is $1.49, the average cost of a medium Slurpee drink. The cup, though, must fit upright through an in-store display with a 10-inch-diameter hole. Sorry, trash cans and inflatable swimming pools are not eligible.

“Slurpee is all about having fun, and what better way to celebrate warmer weather than by filling your favorite cup with your favorite beverage?” said Laura Gordon, 7‑Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation. “From sand buckets to trophies, customers can unleash their creativity by bringing in their choice of a unique, fun Slurpee cup.”

This is the first time BYO Cup Day has been held in the United States, although 7‑Eleven stores in Australia, Canada, the Philippines and Malaysia have held BYO Cup Days in the past.

Slurpee drinks purchased during BYO Cup Day will count as a punch on 7Rewards, an expanded customer loyalty platform that rewards customers with a free beverage for every six cups purchased through the 7‑Eleven mobile app. The program includes 7‑Eleven coffee and its other hot beverages, plus Big Gulp®, Slurpee® and Chillers® drinks. Just launched on the 7‑Eleven® mobile app is 7Rewards, an expanded customer loyalty platform that rewards customers with a free beverage for every six cups purchased.

Best of all, 7Rewards counts every 7‑Eleven beverage – hot or cold – served in a 7‑Eleven cup toward the seventh free. That means any six cups – any size and any drink – whether it’s a large Chillers Iced Coffee or a small Slurpee drink.

Every time a customer purchases a cup, the cashier will scan the barcode in the app, and a “punch” will automatically appear within the app. Each purchase earns a punch that shows up as a star icon in the app. After receiving six punches, or stars, a “You earned a free cup” notification appears in the app. The punchcard process starts over once the free beverage is redeemed. Links to Facebook and Twitter on the app’s home screen let the user tell their friends about their rewards.
