PetSmart announces the opening of its new concept store in Oceanside, New York — the PetSmart Pet Spa

PHOENIX, 2016-Aug-19 — /EPR Retail News/ — PetSmart is pleased to announce the grand opening this Saturday of its new concept store, the PetSmart Pet Spa in Oceanside, New York. The new store by North America’s largest pet specialty retailer features innovative elements aimed at offering an enhanced pet lifestyle customer experience and is intended to test out various ideas for consideration within PetSmart’s 1,460-plus and growing store chain.

The new PetSmart Pet Spa store, located at 529 Atlantic Ave, features a heavy emphasis on pet services and has a unique, modern design with approximately 7,400 square feet of space – a smaller footprint than PetSmart’s typical stores, which average about 18,000-20,000 square feet. The store features a first for PetSmart stores, a self-service dog wash where pet parents can bond as they personally bathe their pups. Pet parents can also choose from a range of grooming services where pets receive hands-on care by academy-trained, certified stylists dedicated to making pets look and feel their best. The store’s pet food collection includes a refrigerator/freezer section and is focused on pinnacle natural nutrition – high-protein, grain-free, organic and raw food including such brands as Blue Buffalo®, Natural Balance®, Nature’s Variety® Instinct®, Only Natural Pet® and Wellness®. Ellen DeGeneres to launch her first pet collection exclusively at PetSmart

FabOverFifty.com, has launched a unique beauty testing program to find the most effective beauty products for women over fifty.

“We didn’t want to do the same old thing,” says site founder, Geri Brin, “where a beauty company sends out anti-aging products to a 25-year-old beauty editor, and she tests them out. We want to give the power to our community of women over fifty–they decide what works. Our site is all about women speaking to each other, and so is our beauty coverage.”

Women over 50 in this country spend over $30 million a day on personal care products–more than any other demographic. But when it comes to figuring out which beauty products will work for their needs, there are few places to turn for advice. The average beauty editor or beauty blogger is in her 20s, and her picks for “what works” have very little relevance for fab over fifty women.

That’s why FabOverFifty.com launched its innovative product testing program –to create a source for smart, unbiased beauty product reviews, by and for women over fifty. Each week, FOF features a new product promising to heal, help or beautify boomer women. Studies have shown that as skin ages, collagen and elastin degenerate and cell cohesion loosens as the skin loses calcium.
