Debenhams Reveals Mums Trying To Outdo Each Other At The School Gate

Debenhams has revealed that a new breed of fashion conscious mums in Ireland is fast turning the school run into a catwalk competition as they vie to outdo each other at the school gates.

The trend was revealed when Debenhams research team asked Irish female customers what they wore on the school run.

Debenhams has launched its latest app for the professional shopper on Android and Nokia phones, making the retailer the first on the high street to offer apps for the three key smartphones.

The free-to-download, fully transactional apps follow the highly successful launch of the Debenhams iPhone app in October 2010. Designed to target the on-the-move shopper and enrich the in-store experience, the Debenhams iPhone app achieved 360,000 downloads and sales of nearly £1 million within five months of launch.

The Android app features a ‘Barcode Scanner’, the first by a high street retailer. The barcode scanner has proved a popular feature on the iPhone app, with customers using it over 90,000 times in the first five months.

International Quilt Festival Brings Fun And Fabric To Cincinnati

The garments were exposed to nature’s forces by planting them into the ground and give nature time to do her unpredictable design process. The result is stunning and every single design unique.

The T-shirt was considered ideal, as it is one of the most simple garments existing, there could be no better for the project. It is unpretentious, simple, like an empty canvas on which nature can create its designs. Francesco designed a shirt which truly complements the body, idealises it even. “We aimed for a focus on the aesthetics created by nature, to offer a perception of beauty man would never be able to create. We produce beautiful shirts, but it is nature who makes them truly unique» says Francesco Mugnaini.
