WOMbat Helps Paddle-Boarding Make A Splash In The UK

Adventure clothing and lifestyle brand, WOMbat, is helping organise a new competition for one of the UK’s fastest growing sports.

Forget Sunday football leagues and midweek darts leagues, the summer of 2010 will see a new kid arrive in town – Stand Up Paddle League.

Paddle-boarding has you standing on a board, using a long paddle to propel yourself over a stretch of water. Teams taking part will have to face three different challenges on the day called “over, through and under”. More details are due to be released soon, but the aim will be to post the fastest time in each heat in order to progress to the finals where teams will be able to compete for a host of amazing prizes.
