SEATTLE, 2014-12-15 — /EPR Retail News/ — Peppermint, eggnog, cranberry, gingerbread and chestnuts  – all classic holiday flavors that are enjoyed in Starbucks® beverages and treats. Take a quick trip around the world to learn how holiday flavors are experienced at Starbucks, whether it’s a mince pie in the United Kingdom, ginger cake in Peru or a panettone in Brazil.

Europe

Mince Pie (UK): A British Christmas tradition since the 17th century.  While mincemeat pies originally contained minced meat, the buttery pastry served at Starbucks is filled with rich dried fruit and a blend of festive spices including cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and clove.

Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate: A brand new addition to this year’s Starbucks holiday beverages enjoyed by customers in the UK, France, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The holiday treat is made by combining Starbucks® classic hot chocolate with almond syrup and then topped with chocolate whipped cream, honey and a mocha drizzle.

Latin America

Ponche Navideño or Christmas Punch Tea (Mexico): A traditional Mexican holiday beverage. A warm tea flavored with an infusion of fruit flavors, hibiscus tea and brown sugar.

Rosca de Reyes is traditionally enjoyed in Mexico as part of the great Dia de Reyes or “Day of Kings” on January 6. The ring-shaped baked treat is sweet, round Mexican bread decorated with sugar, cocoa and fig.

Panettone: A sweet bread loaf, is a Brazilian tradition enjoyed during the holiday season. The delicious bread comes in rich chocolate or caramel.

Floresta Negra Frappuccino: Made with ingredients found in the typical Brazilian dessert, the chilled Frappuccino® blended beverage variety is popular in Brazil during the holidays, which occur during the southern hemisphere’s summer. The Floresta Negra is also available as a hot beverage.

Ginger Cake: A sweet delicious ginger-infused cake covered with frosting topped with pieces of orange is available in Starbucks stores in Peru.

Asia Pacific

Christmas Cookie Latte: A new beverage this holiday season available across Starbucks Asia Pacific region with a special dough sauce and bits of Christmas cookie biscuits to celebrate the ritual of baking and sharing cookies with loved ones.

Velvet Whoopie Pie: Features delicious cream cheese frosting sandwiched in the middle of two small red velvet cakes and is available in Starbucks stores in Thailand.

Christmas Tree Danish (Singapore): A multi-layered buttery, pastry shaped like a festive Christmas tree dusted with icing sugar and adorned with cherries.

Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha (China): A colorful combination of signature Starbucks espresso, steamed milk, twirls of tangy cranberry sauce topped with whipped cream and cranberry sugar.

North America

Starbucks® Hello Dolly Bar: New for the holidays and only available in Canada, the Starbucks® Hello Dolly Bar is a delight with its layers of coconut, chocolate, shortbread and pecans, baked together into a scrumptious square.

Nanaimo Bar: Named after the Vancouver Island city of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Starbucks® Nanaimo Bar is a Canadian holiday exclusive featuring layers of chocolate graham cracker base with a smooth, custard buttercream flavored filling and topped with a layer of dark chocolate coating.

Starbucks® Chestnut Praline Latte (United States): A new holiday beverage, is a blend of fresh espresso and flavors of caramelized chestnuts with freshly steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs.

Holiday Turkey and Stuffing Panini (United States): A roasted turkey panini topped with an herbed cranberry stuffing and a spread of delicious turkey gravy served on a warm, toasted focaccia bread.

Cranberry Bliss® Bar (United States): This holiday classic is filled with dried cranberries and topped with a cream cheese frosting and a hint of orange zest.
