The UK’s middle classes are those most likely to utilise online voucher codes to save according to a new survey. The poll has been carried out by leading retail deals website DiscountVouchers.co.uk, and found that more well off areas of the country are home to the most voucher users.
Respondents to the poll conducted by the money-saving website showed that the middle classes around the country are those who most regularly use retail vouchers to get themselves savings on their favourite, must-have labels.
In order, the top ten UK places for using voucher codes were revealed to be:
• Twickenham
• Guildford
• Truro
• Chester
• Canterbury
• Durham
• Dorchester
• Doncaster
• Motherwell
• Chelmsford
Gerard Doyle, DiscountVouchers.co.uk CEO, commented: “Interestingly the more traditionally middle class places like Twickenham and Guildford were shown to be the places in the UK where shoppers are most likely to save money using online voucher codes.”
“However at the opposite end of the survey were cities like Liverpool and Leeds, places where consumers were shown to be up to three times less likely to use money-saving voucher codes to get more for their budgets.”
The DiscountVouchers.co.uk service has seen ‘middle class’ stores like Ocado, White Stuff, M&S and French Connection prove particularly popular with users in recent times.
The DiscountVouchers.co.uk poll found the ten least likely users of voucher codes to be located in:
• Liverpool
• Leeds
• Sunderland
• Telford
• Dundee
• Luton
• Glasgow
• Wolverhampton
• Bradford
• Edinburgh
