CALIFORNIA, 2014-12-15 — /EPR Retail News/ — Just in time for the holidays, the Rancho Mirage Albertsons/Sav-On Pharmacy is sporting a new look and store associates were rolling out the red carpet for all at their Dec 3 ribbon cutting ceremony. And even though it was early in the morning, few could resist all of the ‘good eats’ on hand to sample – from salmon to homemade guacamole and chips, fresh juice, Kale salad and much more.
New Salad, Soup Bar & Juice Bars
“I’m proud to say that we’ve added hundreds of new items in all of our fresh departments,” emphasized Store Director Pete Rodriguez. “But we’re really excited about the new in-store salad, soup and juice bars.”
No doubt, hungry customers are discovering a large selection of leafy greens, tomatoes and other assorted veggies and toppings in the new salad bar. And adding a cup or bowl of hot Clam Chowder or Chicken Soup from the new soup bar is converting this quick ‘grab and go’ item into a hearty meal, especially now during the winter months.
Rancho Mirage is the first Southern California Albertsons to debut a juice bar. Also located near the service deli, it offers a variety of freshly squeezed citrus and organic juices, as well as spa waters.
Guests planning to host holiday gatherings are finding plenty of meal options to choose from including custom cuts of choice beef, chicken, kabobs and Santa Monica Seafood all available in the butcher block. This store also now carries Rocky’s Anti-Biotic Free (ABF) air chilled chicken.
Not to be left out, the bakery department team has added an assortment of all occasion cakes including Fondant, whip cream, character, signature and classic cakes. Another addition is the popular ‘Tres Leches’ cake.
As part of the festivities, Rodriguez and his team pledged a $1,000 donation to the Joslyn Senior Citizen Center.
