- Travel retail and restaurateur leader secures two first place awards
ATLANTA, 2016-Apr-10 — /EPR Retail News/ — Paradies Lagardère won three Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) 2016 Excellence in Airport Concessions Awards, earning first place in two categories. ACI-NA’s 2016 Excellence in Airport Concessions Awards promotes the innovative spirit of the airport concessions industry, and recognizes excellence in airport concessions programs. The winners were announced at a dinner gala awards ceremony that took place during the 2016 Business of Airports Conference in Orlando, Fla., April 4 through 6.
• First place: Best New News & Gift Concept, 7-Eleven, Los Angeles International Airport
• First place: Best New Local Concept, Greenbelt Magazine Marketplace, Boise Airport
• Third place: Best New Retail Concept, 7-Eleven, Los Angeles International Airport

The ACI-NA Excellence in Airport Concessions Awards provides the industry the opportunity to recognize success and innovation in commercial programs at airports of all sizes. Any ACI-NA member is eligible. Categories include Best Food & Beverage Program, Best New Retail Concept, Best “Green” Concession Practice or Concept Category, and Best New Consumer Services Concept. The ACI-NA represents local, regional, and state governing bodies that own and operate commercial airports in the U.S. and Canada.
Paradies Lagardère won first place in Best New News & Gift Concept and third place in Best New Retail Concept. These categories consider a single retail unit operating at an airport, including concepts such as apparel, accessories, electronics and convenience retail units. Paradies Lagardère also won first place in Best New Local Concept, which considers a single food and beverage, retail or personal services unit operating at an airport that best highlights the local culture, aids in giving a sense of place and promotes local economic growth.
