Cypress Equities announces the official opening of Crystal Falls Town Center in Leander, TX

DALLAS, 2016-Nov-17 — /EPR Retail News/ —  Cypress Equities companies* (“Cypress”) announced today (November 10, 2016) the official opening of Crystal Falls Town Center.  The center sits on 12.72 acres located at the southwest corner of Lakeline Boulevard and Crystal Falls Parkway in Leander, TX.

Crystal Falls Town Center is anchored by Randalls Food Market. Randalls also celebrated the grand opening of their 63,182 square-foot store.  The project is comprised of 93,642 square feet of retail and restaurant space. In addition, Crystal Falls Town Center opened with Orange Theory Fitness, Jack Brown Cleaners, La Bella Nails and Spa, ABC Liquor, Tomlinson’s Feed, Cost Cutters,
GNC, and Apple Springs Family Dentistry.

Cypress acquires 11.17 acres of land in Georgetown, TX as site of the new Oak Meadows Marketplace

Dallas, TX, 2016-Oct-15 — /EPR Retail News/ — Cypress Equities companies* announced today (October 12, 2016) that it has closed on the acquisition of approximately 11.17 acres located at the southwest corner of Williams Drive and Jim Hogg Road in Georgetown, TX. This parcel will be the site of the new Oak Meadows Marketplace.

Oak Meadows Marketplace will be a grocery-anchored complex, encompassing 77,050 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Randalls Food and Drug has an executed lease for 57,655 square feet and will be the project anchor. Cypress is currently undergoing negotiations with additional retail and restaurant tenants.

“The surrounding area demographics made this acquisition an attractive addition to the Cypress portfolio,” said Chris Maguire, chief executive officer for Cypress Equities. “Along with the commitment from Randalls as a strong grocery anchor for Oak Meadows Marketplace.”

Construction on Oak Meadows Marketplace is estimated to begin in January of 2017, with a completion date slated for November of 2017. SRS Real Estate Partners in Austin will be conducting leasing for the center.

Dallas, TX, 2016-Aug-29 — /EPR Retail News/ — Cypress Equities  announced today (August 16, 2016) that it has closed on the acquisition of Covington Nord du Lac, a retail center in Covington, La. The project is comprised of 214,000 square feet of existing space (96% leased), 83,000 square feet of partially-built improvements, and an additional 162,000 square feet of planned development space, totaling approximately 460,000 square feet.

Covington Nord du Lac will be a premier regional retail center situated at the intersection of I-12 and Highway 21 in Covington, LA, one of the most affluent submarkets of New Orleans. Currently, the property is anchored by national tenants such as Hobby Lobby, Academy Sports, Petco and Kohl’s (separately owned).

“Considerable interest in this project has already been displayed by prospective tenants, due to the desirable location, and high traffic counts from Interstate 12 and Highway 21,” said Chris Maguire, chief executive officer for Cypress Equities. “Our development plans for Covington Nord du Lac will further enhance the project’s appeal to future stores and restaurants.”

The SRS Real Estate Partners’ Atlanta office facilitated the acquisition of Covington Nord du Lac, on behalf of Cypress. The lead broker was Scott Tiernan, along with Kyle Stonis, and Pierce Mayson.

Cypress’ plans for the property include a leasing program focused on active apparel and fashion, in addition to local and regional restaurants. Together with Cypress’ in-house leasing team, Retail Specialists of New Orleans, led by John Moss, has been retained as the leasing agent for Covington Nord du Lac.
