Based on the popular podcast of the same name, which has an average of five million monthly listens, the anthology series presents the frightening and often disturbing tales based on real people and events that have led to our modern-day myths and legends. All six episodes of the series, from Executive Producers Ben Silverman (The Office), Howard T. Owens (The Biggest Loser), Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead), Brett-Patrick Jenkins (Face Off), Glen Morgan (X-Files), Jon Halperin and Mark Mannucci (A Year in Space), will be available to Prime members globally on October 13.

Lore, featuring Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day), Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood), Adam Goldberg (Fargo) Holland Roden(Teen Wolf), Colm Feore (House of Cards) and Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man), combines documentary footage, narration, historical mixed media and cinematic scenes to bring to life terrifying, but true stories. Celebrating the origins of the horror genre, Lore explores the real-life tales behind pop culture’s most legendary horror myths, such as vampires, changelings, werewolves, séances and possessed dolls.

Launched in March 2015 by Aaron Mahnke, the podcast Lore has generated a massive audience, was named “Best of” in 2015 and 2016 by Apple, and was listed as one of the “15 podcasts you need to hear in 2016” by Entertainment Weekly. The first book in Mahnke’s three-book series, The World of Lore, will be published on October 10 by Del Rey Books.

Amazon announces untitled Hannah Grant Tour de France series for Prime Video

The Amazon Original Series Follows the First Female Chef at the Famed Grand Tour Cycling Race

SEATTLE, 2017-Jun-27 — /EPR Retail News/ — Amazon today (Jun. 26, 2017) announced it has greenlit an untitled Hannah Grant Tour de France series for Prime Video. The Amazon Original Series is a documentary adventure series about the incredible athletes competing in the 104th Tour de France and the food that keeps them alive. The series follows Grant, known as the Queen of Performance Cooking among pro cyclists, as she and her crew source and prepare healthy, high-performance meals for Team Orica-Scott’s nine riders during the 23-day endurance race that covers 21 stages and 2,200 miles.

The series, inspired by Grant’s book The Grand Tour Cookbook, goes behind the scenes at this race-within-a-race, showcasing what it takes to maintain Grant’s Michelin star-level cooking standards balanced with the “high octane” dietary needs of professional athletes. During the Tour de France, one of the world’s most physically demanding sporting events, the racing team and Grant’s entire operation will move daily, starting in Dusseldorf, Germany and ending in Paris for the famous ride through city streets and the finish line at the Champs-Élysées. The series will offer unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to one of the largest annual sporting events on the planet that billions around the world watch, featuring a side of the race, the athletes and their support team that many don’t even know exists.

SEATTLE, 2017-Mar-07 — /EPR Retail News/ — Amazon today (-Mar. 6, 2017) announced it has greenlit the Amazon Original Series Le Mans: Racing is Everything from London based production company New Black Films. The limited series will explore what is known as “the Mount Everest of motorsports,” the grueling, non-stop 24-hour car race that has taken place annually in Le Mans, France since 1923. Prime members will be able to stream the series exclusively via the Amazon Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, mobile devices and online. Members can also download the series to mobile devices for offline viewing at no additional cost to their membership. Le Mans: Racing Is Everything will be a global release and available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video for members to watch via the Prime Video app for popular smart TVs, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and Android and iOS phones and tablets. The show will also be available on PrimeVideo.com for Prime Video members in more than 200 countries and territories.

Le Mans: Racing is Everything will offer unprecedented access to the entire 24 hours of the race, while exploring the storied legacy of Le Mans and the generations of drivers who have braved the course. Le Mans: Racing is Everything embeds with teams Porsche, Audi, Nissan, Toyota, Aston Martin and Rebellion as they race to build their cars and compete in what is one of the highest attended single-day sporting events in the world. Featured drivers include Australian Formula 1 legend Mark Webber; German three-time Le Mans champion André Lotterer; Nico Prost, son of legendary Formula 1 driver Alain Prost; and English teenage gamer Jann Mardenborough, who at the age of 19 was given a slot on Team Nissan after winning an e-Sports racing competition.

Amazon announces new documentary series starring the world’s number one ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic

The No. 1 player on the professional men’s tennis tour, Djokovic has won 12 Grand Slam singles titles, the fourth most in history. He has won an all-time record six Australian Open titles, three Wimbledon titles, two US Open titles and one French Open title. In 2016, he became the eighth player in history to achieve the Career Grand Slam. His records include breaking the single-season record with six titles in 2015, winning 31 consecutive ATP World Tour Masters 1000 series matches, playing in the finals at all nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments (shared with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal) and being the only player to win eight of the nine events at least twice. Among other titles, he has won the ATP World Tour Finals five times and was on the Serbian team which won the 2010 Davis Cup.

Novak is slated to be co-produced by The WorkShop (The Haney Project, The Vince Papale Story) and Film 45 (On Freddie Roach, Live to Tell) founded by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor and the upcoming Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day) who will serve as an executive producer.
