Company to Donate 100% of Proceeds to American Red Cross

Matthews, NC, 2017-Sep-01 — /EPR Retail News/ — Harris Teeter announced today (Aug. 31, 2017) it will launch an Emergency Support campaign to benefit individuals and families affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Throughout the month of September, the company invites their generous shoppers and valued associates to place a monetary donation in the donation boxes at its in-store Starbucks locations.

One-hundred percent of proceeds from the in-store campaign will be donated to American Red Cross which supports the affected communities by providing relief supplies, emergency response units, personnel and support for long-term reconstruction.

“When disaster strikes, our valued associates and shoppers want to lend their support and make a difference,” said Danna Robinson, communication manager for Harris Teeter. “The Emergency Support campaign will be an easy way for customers to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.”

Dollar General donates $50,000 to American Red Cross to support Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery efforts

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn., 2017-Aug-29 — /EPR Retail News/ — Dollar General (NYSE: DG) is supporting the American Red Cross with a $50,000 corporate donation to support the relief and recovery efforts in Texas and Louisiana following devastating floods from Hurricane Harvey.

The Rite Aid Foundation to help further with ongoing flood relief efforts across the greater Baton Rouge area

CAMP HILL, Pa., 2016-Aug-28 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Rite Aid Foundation announced today an additional $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross Louisiana Capital Area to help with ongoing flood relief efforts across the greater Baton Rouge area. The donation will be used to provide 11,000 comfort kits, containing personal hygiene products and snacks, to people displaced by the flooding.

“The flooding in Louisiana has brought devastation and uncertainty to tens of thousands of people,” said Elizabeth Penniman, vice president of communications for the American Red Cross. “Thanks to the generosity of partners like The Rite Aid Foundation, the Red Cross will be able to support the 18 shelters open throughout the area, continue to distribute relief supplies and provide comfort to people hit hard by this historic event.”

The Rite Aid Foundation previously announced a $50,000 donation to help with relief efforts on Aug. 15.
