Customers Are Getting Excited About FitFlops Spring 2011 Collection

With the success of the recent Autumn/Winter collection of FitFlop Boots featuring some of the best selling styles this season, there is much talk of the hotly anticipated Spring 2011 footwear collection from FitFlop that has been previewed in the US and reviews have been extremely favourable to say the least.

FitFlop have been the top selling fitness footwear brand since their launch a few years ago with just one style of flip flop in three colours. This humble beginning for the now global toning footwear brand was quick to catch on and has a massive customer base which is increasing all the time, thanks to the regular release of gorgeous new styles which has now turned into a seasonal launch, taking the FitFlop name into new territory and placing it firmly with the big names in footwear.

The founder of the FitFlop brand is none other than Marcia Kilmore (of Bliss Spa and Soap & Glory beauty product fame) and she obviously knows a thing or two about marketing a great product and giving the customer what they want even before they knew they wanted it! Marcia and the team she employed to research and develop this toning footwear range from London’s South Bank University where the FitFlop footwear was designed and tested for over a year before it was ready to go on the market.

Since its launch its popularity has risen and continues to rise still as more and more people find the benefits of this amazing footwear far outweigh standard fashion footwear. This footwear has been strongly endorsed by the medical profession and this has been part of its strength really as it’s the Doctor’s recommendations and the reviews of real people that have made FitFlop a respected and highly-regarded item of footwear for those looking to reduce back pain, improve their posture and tone up their legs and bottoms at the same time.

Its not just the fact that this footwear can benefits the wearer, its also the fact that the FitFlop footwear looks so good too and it has clearly been a case of fashion meets fitness and it really works well. We’ve got the trainers from the big sports names like Nike and Adidas, we’ve got fashionable boots like Uggs and what FitFlop did was to fit nicely into a gap in the market that feeds both these areas, the fitness aspect is in their benefits and the way they can tone your body just by walking in them and the fashion bit comes from the fabulous range that FitFlop offer, from boots and shoes to sneakers and clogs. It really is the perfect combination and sales of these toning shoes and boots are testament to this. FitFlop and fashion go hand in hand just as FitFlop and fitness do. Perfect.

Cloggs.co.uk currently stock a full range of all the latest FitFlop styles; including the fantastic FitFlop Boots and the FitFlop Supertone.

Cloggs.co.uk Shortlisted For Drapers Award

The 2000 sq ft Cloggs.co.uk store next to Selfridges in the Bullring opened in September 2009 and is one of the finalists in the Best New Store category.

The awards celebrate the best footwear independents, multiple specialists and high street fashion chains, as well as recognising the best brands of the year and the most promising student footwear designers. This year, names such as Schuh, Barratts and Clarks are among the contenders for the various awards.

Cloggs.co.uk, which is run by local brothers Nick and Chris Thomas and business partner Damian Scarlett, faces stiff competition from The Natural Shoe Store in London, Gerry McGuire’s in Ireland, Lily T in Buckinghamshire, Shoefair in Northern Ireland and SoleLution in Bristol.

Nick Thomas, company director of Cloggs.co.uk, said: “We’re really pleased that the Bullring store has made it onto the shortlist.

“As far as shoe shops go it’s pretty unique, incorporating many of the features of our online shop, such as free next day delivery if the customer requests it and access to the full range of available styles via touch screen internet terminals.

“We also offer the same deals and discounts in store as we do online, which is unusual amongst most high street retailers.

“Our focus is on offering an extensive selection of seasonal fashion footwear, quality customer service and competitive prices.

“It’s an honour to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards and we’re really looking forward to the event.”

The team behind Cloggs.co.uk has more than 35 years’ experience of trading on the high street and began operating online ten years ago. Cloggs.co.uk now stocks more than 20,000 items, including popular brands such as FitFlop, UGG, Converse, Birkenstock and Crocs, online and in the Bullring store.

Cloggs Put Fitflops On Trial In The Bullring

Cloggs.co.uk is giving sceptics in Birmingham (UK) the chance to put the thigh toning sandals Fitflops to the test. On 7th May the Bullring based shoe retailer Cloggs.co.uk will be giving everyone the chance to try the so-called ‘shoes with the gym built in’.

At the event, Cloggs.co.uk will be demonstrating how Fitflops use biomechanical engineering to help wearers improve their posture and burn more calories than they would through walking normally. The sandals have specially designed soles that destabilise the feet, making the muscles in the lower body work harder when the wearer is walking around.

Fitflops have been available since 2007, and when they first came out the huge demand for the shoes saw them sell out all over the world. Cloggs.co.uk director, Nick Thomas, believes that even more people are likely to be wearing them this summer.

“Fitflops have universal appeal because of the way they combine comfort, style and fitness, things which people of all ages are looking for in a summer shoe.

“This year we have bought as much stock as we possibly can because as soon as spring arrives Fitflops always start selling really quickly.

Cloggs Predicts Massive Fitflops Sell Out This Spring

Cloggs has started packing its warehouse with the Spring/Summer collection of Fitflops.

Cloggs Predicts Massive Fitflops Sell Out This Spring

Since 2008, Fitflops have proved to be a massive hit in the UK, with everyone clamouring to get hold of a pair so that they can get a Workout While They Walk. This trend is set to continue throughout Spring 2010, and whilst official Fitflops retailers like Cloggs.co.uk are packing out their warehouses with all the top styles in all the latest colours in an effort to satisfy demand, sales are still set to soar and outstrip supply.

Fitflops have become an iconic fitness footwear brand and a massive fashion trend, ever since being endorsed by Opera Winfrey on her show in 2008. Loved by celebrities including Mischa Barton, Hilary Swank and Marcia Cross, Fitflop fever has spread throughout the UK like wildfire.

People across the world are reaping the fitness benefits from this shoe with the gym built in, which has actually been biomechanically engineered to give the wearer a workout while they walk. The unique Microwobbleboard technology that has been inbuilt into the sole actually destabilises the foot making the muscles in the lower body work harder. Wearers burn more calories than they would do walking normally, and posture is improved too.

With all of these benefits, Fitflops have proved to be a phenomenal success. So much so that Fitlops have introduced a massive new colour range of mens Fitflops and womens Fitflops for Spring and Summer 2010 including the Electra in delicious pewter, the new red Fitflop Walkstar and Fitflop sandals like the Oasis in grey. Official retailers like Cloggs are buying as much stock as they can physically get hold of to satisfy consumer demand, but it is forecast that Fitflops will sell out very quickly.

Nick Thomas, Cloggs.co.uk director, stated: “Fitflops sales have always outstripped our expectations, the demand is absolutely massive. We have always tried to buy as much stock as we can, but demand is consistently outstripping the manufacturing runs. The new Spring/Summer 2010 styles have just come into stock but as soon as we are uploading them onto our website they are flying out again. We do advise eager customers to start thinking about their Spring/Summer Fitflop footwear now to avoid disappointment.”
