ATLANTA, 2016-Nov-12 — /EPR Retail News/ — Carvel… America’s Freshest Ice Cream® will host a special Buy-One-Get-One Free Cone Day at all Florida locations on Thursday, November 17th, 2016. On this day, the soft-serve ice cream pioneer will also be collecting donations for The American Red Cross® that will be used in the continued aid of those effected by Hurricane Matthew. In addition, Carvel® will donate $2,000 to The American Red Cross.

Guests who visit Florida shoppes on November 17th can take advantage of the one day only BOGO Free offer on any size, any flavor soft-serve cup or cone. While picking up their soft-serve ice cream of choice, ice-cream lovers will be invited to pay the love forward by making a contribution to The American Red Cross for Hurricane Matthew victims.

Kroger supports Hurricane Matthew relief efforts with nearly $450,000 total contribution

CINCINNATI, 2016-Oct-19 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) announced today (Oct. 18, 2016) its family of companies has raised nearly $106,000 from customer and associate contributions to assist Hurricane Matthew relief efforts. Kroger and its subsidiaries have also delivered in-kind contributions of food and water valued at $235,000 to local food banks and Red Cross relief stations, and $52,000 in pet food to animal shelters, in storm-impacted areas. In addition, Kroger has committed to a corporate gift of $50,000 for a total contribution of more than $443,000 to support hurricane relief efforts.

“We are grateful to our customers and associates for their generous support of the Hurricane Matthew relief efforts,” said Jessica Adelman, Kroger’s group vice president of corporate affairs. “Our combined efforts will help our communities recover more quickly in the aftermath of such devastating storms.”

Many Kroger and Harris Teeter stores in the southeast and mid-Atlantic regions are helping customers donate through a variety of ways including coin boxes at registers.

Seattle, 2016-Oct-10 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Starbucks Foundation will contribute $100,000 to the American Red Cross to aid Hurricane Matthew relief efforts in the U.S. and Caribbean. The Foundation will donate an additional $25,000 to Team Rubicon to support a team of volunteers providing direct relief to Haitians impacted by the storm.

Customers who wish to aid in the recovery may do so in any U.S. company-operated store through a donation to the American Red Cross at the point of sale beginning October 8. Starbucks partners (employees) who make a personal contribution to the relief efforts can request matching funds through the company’s Partner Match program.
