The Indonesia GCG Award II-2016 was organized by Economic Review publication in cooperation with IPMI International Business School, Indonesia Asia Institute and Sinergi Daya Prima thru the conducting of extensive reviews of the participants’ good governance conducts in various aspectsto-date. MPPA was honored to receive this prestigious recognition for the Retail Category during the award ceremony which was celebrated on December 6, 2016 in Jakarta.

Additionally, MPPA is honored to receive the prestigious Indonesia Most Admired CEO 2016 for Retail Category Award as a positive recognition of MPPA’s current CEO, Mr Noel Trinder, for his strong leadership, and motivation with clear business strategy and execution which led MPPA’s retail business to become the prominent retail player in Indonesia. MPPA receives APTI-III-2016 award as one of the 150 Best Public Listed Companies in Indonesia 2016

The award was held on Friday, October 21, 2016 in Jakarta.

MPPA received the APTI-III-2016 as one of the 150 Best Public Listed Companies in Indonesia 2016 based on the Company Performance in 2015. In this award, the Company ranked 3rd in the category of Retail Trade business groups within the industrial sector of Trade, Services & Investment.

APTI-III-2016 is organized by the Economic Review magazine (incorporated in Indonesia-Asia Institute, Woman Review, Ideku Group) in collaboration with IPMI International Business School. This award is aimed to honor the Company growth performance (delta growth) in the fiscal year of 2015 and for the positive contributions to the business and economic development in Indonesia.

MPPA announces new management appointments

Lippo Village, Tangerang, Indonesia, 2016-Oct-07 — /EPR Retail News/ — PT Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA), a multi-format modern retailer in Indonesia which operates Hypermart, SmartClub, Foodmart, Boston Health & Beauty and FMX, today (October 6, 2016) announced new appointments for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Strategic, Business Intelligence and Planning Officer. These appointments are in-line with the Company’s strategy to strengthen its management team for continuation of the Company’s retail growth and the anticipation of new business opportunities in the future.

MPPA welcomes Surya Tatang as the Company’s new CFO. The Board of Commissioners, Directors and management team are delighted to have Mr Tatang on-board to direct and supervise the Company’s overall financial aspects. Mr. Tatang is already well known by the MPPA team. His extensive corporate finance expertise in the financial industry includes the recent position of CFO of PT Link Net Tbk. He is a CFA charterholder.

MPPA also welcomes Patrick J. Hopper to assume the new position of Chief Strategic, Business Intelligence and Planning Officer. Subsequent to this appointment, Mr Hopper played an integral role as MPPA’s CFIO while also developing Company strategy and modernizing existing business processes. Mr. Hopper’s work led MPPA’s commitment to build a sustainable retail management platform and institutionalize business processes to support long term growth. As the Company continues to grow as a multi format retailer, Mr Hopper’s new role will be a key contributor to MPPA’s success in the years ahead.

Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA), the leading modern multi-format retailer in Indonesia, which operates Hypermart, Foodmart and Boston Health & Beauty, proudly presents the new concept of Hypermart 7th Generation (G7), located at Cyberpark, North Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang, with a gross area of 8,971 sqm.

The G7 concept is the latest format of Hypermart. The new concept will feature updated fixtures, wider aisles, ease for customer navigation, expanded fresh area, plus eco-friendly LED lights and new exterior signage.

The Fashion & Beauty Centers are updated and expanded to capture the growing lifestyle of modern customers, while the Bakery, RTE (Ready to Eat), Fresh Food, Bulk Food, Home & Living sections feature larger assortments and new concepts.

The newest concept has embraced a lifestyle center concept, which is complimented with a variety of supporting tenants such as Matahari Department Store, restaurants, cafes, bank, and others.

“Going forward, we are positioned to open approximately 20 new Hypermart per year and a goal to more than double our store network to ±260 outlets by 2020. In 2015, Hypermart will continue to expand with opening 20 new outlets across Indonesia. Additionally, we will renovate 10 existing Hypermart stores per year to adopt elements of the G7 concept. All of our new store openings in 2015 are ensured to adopt the modern features of our Hypermart G7 concept” he further added.
