SSP wins three major international accolades at the Moodie Davitt Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) awards

SSP also took home five regional awards and two highly-commended awards at the prestigious industry event in Toronto.

Lift Bar & Grill, Vancouver International Airport, was named airport upscale dining restaurant of the year. Centrally located in the international terminal, the restaurant is wrapped around the airport’s iconic aquarium and serves a selection of seasonal cuisine with a focus on local seafood offerings.

Gino D’Acampo – My Restaurant at London Euston Station was given the title individual food and beverage offer of the year in a railway station. The 150-cover restaurant and vibrant cocktail bar, which overlooks the main concourse, offers travellers and locals alike the chance for a ‘proper taste of Italy’ in a modern, stylish setting away from the hubbub of the main station.

The FAB dining transformation award for rail stations went to Travel Food Services for Raildhaba at Visakhapatnam (Vizag) railway station.

Aamanns at Copenhagen Airport was regional winner in the airport upscale dining restaurant of the year award. Le Grand Comptoir at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport received a highly-commended accolade in the airport wine bar of the year category.

Vancouver International Airport partners with Paradies Lagardère to bring four new stores to YVR

Richmond, B.C., 2017-Feb-20 — /EPR Retail News/ — Today (February 16, 2017), Vancouver International Airport (YVR) celebrated the grand opening of four retail stores in the domestic post-security terminal: Lolë, Brooks Brothers, Coastal News and Sea to Sky Marketplace.

These four new retail stores provide more apparel options, as well as familiar iconic brands to YVR’s domestic travellers. The entire portfolio will further enhance YVR’s award-winning concession program. YVR partnered with Paradies Lagardère, a leading operator of restaurant and retail brands in airports world-wide, to bring these four concepts to YVR. LONDON, 2017-Jan-11 — /EPR Retail News/ — Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is ringing in the New Year with a new full-service restaurant, Lift Bar & Grill. Inspired by the original location in downtown Vancouver, passengers are now able to enjoy their well-known selection of seasonal cuisine with a focus on local seafood offerings.

Lagardère Travel Retail opens combined Travelwell/Trader store at Perth Airport

Perth, AUSTRALIA, 2015-11-25 — /EPR Retail News/ — The travel retailer will open their first standalone Wellness concept, Travelwell, in combination with their premium Convenience concept, Trader.

As part of Perth Airport’s redevelopment of the International Terminal 1, the 105m2 combination store will join several new retail and foodservice concepts when it opens next year.

Travelwell’s comprehensive offer will cater to the needs of any traveller. Whether they’re after pre-flight necessities to get them ready for their journey, in-flight products to keep them comfortable, or items to keep them safe and healthy once they reach their destination, Travelwell equips travellers with everything they need for their journey and beyond. The product range will include travel remedies, skin care, analgesics, vitamins and supplements, makeup and fragrances, baby and toddler care, and pharmacy accessories.

Trader brings a premium, sophisticated convenience offer, which includes drinks, confectionery, chocolates, savoury snacks, and Grab & Go items such a sandwiches and sweets. With a bright and fresh aesthetic that stands out amongst conventional convenience offers, Trader combines freshness, quality and service.

The award of this concession represents a significant expansion to Lagardère Travel Retail’s presence in Perth Airport’s International Terminal. The Trader/Travelwell store will join Hub Convenience, Purely Merino and Relay stores, as well as LINK, which is the latest evolution of Lagardère Travel Retail’s NewsLink concept.

The Perth LINK store was officially launched recently in a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by representatives from both Lagardère Travel Retail and Perth Airport. The reimagining of the NewsLink concept at Perth Airport has produced a bright, eye-catching store that features several “Worlds” such as Lonely Planet, Travelwell and tech2go, taking a comprehensive and holistic approach to Travel Essentials.

The combined Travelwell/Trader store will be located opposite the T1 International Check-in area.
