Santa Claus is coming to town, specifically to 7‑Eleven®stores in town, and he has $100,000 for one lucky Slurpee® drink-lover. 7‑Eleven, Inc. and Coca-Cola are brightening the holidays this year with a Slurpee® “Sip & Scan” sweepstakes that has a grand prize of $100,000. Weekly winners will receive a year of free Slurpee drinks. The holiday promotion ends Jan. 2, 2018.

Entering the sweepstakes is simple:

  1. Purchase one of the special holiday red, medium-size Slurpee cups* at a participating 7‑Eleven store.
  2. Open coke.com/711 on a smartphone and follow the links and instructions.
  3. Scan the “Sip & Scan” icon on the Slurpee cup using camera tool at coke.com/711 to enter for a chance to win the $100,000 grand prize or one of the weekly prizes.

Weekly winners will get free Slurpee drinks for a year (365 medium drinks). The $100,000 grand-prize winner will be announced in January of 2018.

Dallas, Texas, 2016-Jul-08 — /EPR Retail News/ — America’s favorite frozen drink turns 50 this year, and 7‑Eleven, Inc. is celebrating its birthday – 7‑Eleven® Day, aka July 11, aka FREE SLURPEE DAY — in a BIG way. To celebrate Slurpee Fiftee and 7‑Eleven’s 89th birthday, participating stores will give away an estimated 9 million free small Slurpee® drinks from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time, Monday, July 11 (7/11), while supplies last.

Is one day enough to celebrate 7‑Eleven’s much beloved beverage?? No!!! That’s why the party continues seven more days with a once-in-50-year offer.

Here’s a Slurpee math problem: When does 7 = 11? Answer: When it’s Slurpee Week. To continue the summer fun, Slurpee fans who purchase seven Slurpee drinks July 12-18 and scan the 7‑Eleven mobile app will receive 11 Slurpee drinks FREE.

7‑Eleven, Inc. to enter Vietnam with Seven System Vietnam Co. Ltd. franchise agreement

DALLAS, 2015-7-30 — /EPR Retail News/ — 7‑Eleven, Inc. (SEI), the world’s largest convenience retailer with 56,400 stores worldwide, has signed a master franchise agreement with Seven System Vietnam Co. Ltd. to develop and operate 7‑Eleven® stores in Vietnam. The expansion marks the company’s first stake in the Pacific Rim since 7‑Eleven entered Indonesia in 2009.

7‑Eleven’s entry into the country aims to enhance the convenience-shopping experience for Vietnamese customers and contribute to modernizing small retailers in the world’s 13th most populous country.

The new master franchisee plans to construct 7‑Eleven stores, convert existing locations to the 7‑Eleven brand supported by enhanced infrastructure, and eventually franchise operations to local businesspeople.

Internationally popular products like Slurpee® frozen carbonated beverages and Big Gulp®soft drinks, as well as immediately consumable fresh foods, with recipes developed for regional tastes, will be part of the convenience offerings.

7‑Eleven and its parent company, Seven-Eleven Japan, will provide start-up support for its newest master franchisee by assisting Seven System Vietnam in implementing 7‑Eleven’s successful strategies of market concentration, team merchandising and item-by-item management.

Vietnam will be the 18th country or region where 7‑Eleven stores operate. 7‑Eleven kicks off Slurpee season on April 11 with BYO (bring their own) Cup Day

DALLAS, 2015-4-9 — /EPR Retail News/ — Bring your carafes … beakers … goblets … jars … or anything else that could even remotely be considered a cup to a 7‑Eleven® store this Saturday. Then fill it up with … Slurpee® deliciousness.

7‑Eleven is kicking off Slurpee season on April 11 with BYO Cup Day. Slurpee-lovers are invited to bring their own cups – or containers that can be used as cups – to their participating neighborhood 7‑Eleven store between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., and fill it with their favorite Slurpee flavor.

The cost to fill the Slurpee “cup” of choice, regardless of size, is $1.49, the average cost of a medium Slurpee drink. The cup, though, must fit upright through an in-store display with a 10-inch-diameter hole. Sorry, trash cans and inflatable swimming pools are not eligible.

“Slurpee is all about having fun, and what better way to celebrate warmer weather than by filling your favorite cup with your favorite beverage?” said Laura Gordon, 7‑Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation. “From sand buckets to trophies, customers can unleash their creativity by bringing in their choice of a unique, fun Slurpee cup.”

This is the first time BYO Cup Day has been held in the United States, although 7‑Eleven stores in Australia, Canada, the Philippines and Malaysia have held BYO Cup Days in the past.

Slurpee drinks purchased during BYO Cup Day will count as a punch on 7Rewards, an expanded customer loyalty platform that rewards customers with a free beverage for every six cups purchased through the 7‑Eleven mobile app. The program includes 7‑Eleven coffee and its other hot beverages, plus Big Gulp®, Slurpee® and Chillers® drinks. If a customer already has six digital punches on their rewards card, they can redeem their free 7th drink at BYO Cup Day.
