Austin, Texas, United States, 2017-Oct-10 — /EPR Retail News/ — Whole Foods Market stores is voluntarily recalling 365 Everyday Value Organic Raisin Bran because the product contains undeclared peanuts that were not listed on the product label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The affected product was sold in Whole Foods Market stores in the U.S. and online at Amazon.com. The product was packaged in 15 oz. boxes labeled 365 Everyday Value Organic Raisin Bran with UPC code 9948243903 and best-by date of June 4, 2018. The issue was discovered after Whole Foods Market determined the packaging contained Peanut Butter Cocoa Balls instead of Organic Raisin Bran. All affected product has been removed from store shelves and online. No reactions have been reported to date.

Customers who purchased this product at Whole Foods Market can bring a valid receipt into stores for a full refund. Customers who purchased the product online will receive additional information via email. New Bedford, MA, 2017-Oct-05 — /EPR Retail News/ — Sid Wainer & Son® of New Bedford, MA is voluntarily recalling Jansal Valley® brand Dried Chili De Arbol Peppers because it does not have the proper allergens identified, being peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The product is packaged in a clear plastic clamshell container labeled as Jansal Valley® Dried Chili De Arbol Peppers, packaged in 1 ounce sizes. The cases contain 12 1 oz units each.

Product best by dates include 9/11/2018, 9/22/2018 and 9/26/2018.

Dried Chili De Arbol Peppers were distributed Nationwide in retail stores and grocery chains.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

During repacking, the peanut contamination was discovered in the sealed bulk containers of the product.

Los Angeles, California, 2017-May-12 — /EPR Retail News/ — Mikawaya is issuing a voluntary recall of a limited number of Mikawaya Brand Chocolate Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream, which may inadvertently contain peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product. Only product labeled with UPC code of 070934990609 and lot number LOT 090-17 is included in this recall. The UPC code can be found on the back of the box and the lot number is printed on the top enclosure.

The affected product is sold in a paperboard box, containing 9.1oz (258g) of 6-1.5oz (43g) pieces with UPC code of 070934990609 and lot number LOT 090-17. The product was distributed to all Trader Joe’s stores nationwide and has been removed from sale.

The recall was initiated after receiving one customer report that a Chocolate Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream contained the presence of peanut butter. Mikawaya has not received any reports of illness or allergic reactions associated with this product.

No other Mikawaya Brand products besides this specific lot of Chocolate Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream are affected by this voluntary recall.

Customers who have purchased Mikawaya Chocolate Chocolate Mochi Ice Cream with the affected UPC code and lot number, and have an allergy or sensitivity to peanuts, are advised not to consume the product. Customers may return the product to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund. Customers with questions may contact Mikawaya at (323) 587-5504 (Monday – Friday) between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. ROCHESTER, NY, 2017-Apr-05 — /EPR Retail News/ — Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of Wegmans Original Killer Brownies with Pecans, because the product may contain peanuts, not declared on the label.    People who have an allergy to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Wegmans Original Killer Brownies with Pecans (best-by dates 03/21/17 through 4/5/17 only) with UPC number 20818400000 were sold between 3/16 and 4/1/17.  The product is sold pre-packaged by the pound in a plastic clamshell, or individually on the self-serve cookie bar, in the Bakery Department in only 15 Wegmans stores (listed below) in these areas of New York State:

This product is produced by Killer Brownie Distributing, Ltd. in Dayton, Ohio.  The recall was initiated when a Wegmans employee reported that some cases received from the manufacturer were labelled incorrectly:  the cases were labeled ‘Original Brownies with Pecans,’ but actually contained ‘Peanut Butter Brownies.’

Approximately 612 lbs. of the product were received from the manufacturer incorrectly labeled.    Wegmans recovered approximately 365 lbs. either removed from sale or still in inventory; the remainder was sold to customers.  Wegmans placed automated phone calls to customers, who purchased the packaged product using their Shoppers Club card, to alert them to the recall.

There have been no reported injuries or illnesses associated with this recall.

Concerned customers should return the product to Wegmans for a full refund.  Customers who have consumed the product and feel they are experiencing symptoms should contact their physician.

Inc. of Buffalo, NY is recalling its 3-oz packages of “WEGMANS Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker”, Net Wt 3 oz, Lot # 35016, Best by 9-15-2017 because they may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled WEGMANS MILK CHOCOLATE (BIG EAR BUNNY) SUCKER” were distributed regionally in all Wegmans retail stores.

The product is shipped within a carton labeled with an orange label as “WEGMANS SWISS RECIPE Milk Chocolate Big Ear Bunny Sucker (3 oz 36 count case). The individual product contains a lavender label and read Wegmans Milk Chocolate Sucker, comes in a 3-oz., clear plastic flow wrap 6” long by 2” wide and is marked with lot # 35016 and with an expiration date of 9-15-2017 stamped on the lower left corner.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the peanut-containing product was distributed with the incorrect label.

Kroger recalls Deluxe S’mores Ice Cream due to undeclared peanuts

CINCINNATI, 2016-Jul-11 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) has recalled Kroger Deluxe S’mores Ice Cream (48 oz, tub) sold in its retail stores because the product may contain peanuts not listed on the label.  Kroger initiated the recall when a supplier, Grain Craft, indicated a raw ingredient may have become contaminated with low levels of peanut residue.

People who are allergic to peanuts could have a severe reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to peanuts, there is no safety issue with the product. No customer illnesses have been reported at this time.

All stores operating under the Kroger, Dillons, Baker’s, Gerbes, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, JayC, King Soopers, City Market, QFC, Ralphs and Smith’s names, stores located in Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming no other Kroger locations in Louisiana or Texas are included.
