Shoppers will be entered in a sweepstakes to win a VIP Day at Roc Nation Headquarters and bid on unforgettable experiences and memorabilia to help students further their education.

The eBay for Charity auctions, which kick off on May 15 at 8:00 a.m. PDT, will provide fans with the opportunity to donate and bid on unforgettable experiences and signed memorabilia from celebrities such as Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, CC Sabathia and Andre Ward. 100 percent of proceeds from these items will benefit the Shawn Carter Foundation.

Fans will also have the opportunity to donate directly to the Shawn Carter Foundation and will be automatically entered to win a VIP Day at Roc Nation Headquarters. The final VIP Day will include a meeting with Roc Nation executives, hosting a listening session with members of Roc Nation’s A&R and marketing teams, a photoshoot on Roc Nation’s famous gold couch and dinner for two at The 40/40 Club with accommodation & flights included.

Shoppers can make donations in the form of symbolic gifts ranging from $10 to $100. $10 will assist students who cannot afford public transportation fare to get to class. $25 will help college students who struggle to afford a college meal plan. $50 will help to defray the cost of required academic materials that tuition does not cover. And, $100 will help to fund one day on the college bus tour, including campus visits, for a student who will be first in the family to attend college.

For many years, SPAR Austria has been a valued partner of the Light in the Dark campaign. In 2016, SPAR Upper Austria once again supported this charity and donated a total of €102,500 for social projects.

SPAR Austria is committed to various social projects and charities, working within a set sponsorship programme. The donation was made possible through the purchase by customers of Light in the Dark products such as paper bags, matches and scented candles, and then enhanced by numerous Christmas activities of employees in SPAR, EUROSPAR and INTERSPAR stores which underlined the regional support given in SPAR.

By purchasing Light in the Dark products, customers in the province of Salzburg contributed to a large-scale SPAR fundraising campaign. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the “ACTIVE” association based in Obertrum. This donation will support the financing of leisure activities for impaired adolescents and young adults such as day trips, supervised weekends as well as holidays. The donation was made in time for Christmas by SPAR.

Women’s refuge Wels offers shelter to women and their children affected by physical and/or mental violence. After 30 years, it became necessary to urgently move into a new, modern location.  SPAR Upper Austria supported the Women’s refuge in this goal, giving a generous donation of €10,000.

WOMbat Helps Paddle-Boarding Make A Splash In The UK

Adventure clothing and lifestyle brand, WOMbat, is helping organise a new competition for one of the UK’s fastest growing sports.

Forget Sunday football leagues and midweek darts leagues, the summer of 2010 will see a new kid arrive in town – Stand Up Paddle League.

Paddle-boarding has you standing on a board, using a long paddle to propel yourself over a stretch of water. The sport, which involves elements of surfing and kayaking, can be a fantastic way of improving your posture and developing or maintaining your core muscles as you work to keep your balance on the water.

People around the country are already discovering how much fun paddle-boarding can be, but to help bring the sport to even more people in 2010, WOMbat and the Fen Paddle Company have teamed up to organise Paddle League.

Tournaments have already been planned to take place on rivers in Cambridge and Norwich at the end of July, while more locations are still to be confirmed. Teams taking part will have to face three different challenges on the day called “over, through and under”. More details are due to be released soon, but the aim will be to post the fastest time in each heat in order to progress to the finals where teams will be able to compete for a host of amazing prizes.

However, the team at WOMbat understands that it’s not all about winning, so they’re going to be handing out a raft of extra goodies including prizes for the team which raises the most cash for charity, the team with the best attitude, and a prize for the individual who pulls the most impressive wipeout.

All equipment including boards, paddles and buoyancy aids will be provided on the day, as well as an hour’s paddle training to make sure contestants are up to speed.

Money raised through Paddle League will be donated to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), a charity which cares for children with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs.
