Nordstrom Rack at Mellody Farm in Vernon Hills, IL to open in fall 2018

SEATTLE, 2017-Jan-26 — /EPR Retail News/ — Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) announced today (Jan. 25, 2017 ) plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Mellody Farm in Vernon Hills, IL. The approximately 30,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2018. The property is being developed by Regency Centers.

The new Nordstrom Rack will join Whole Foods and a variety of best-in-class restaurants and retailers at Mellody Farm. The center is located 30 miles north of downtown Chicago, at the heavily trafficked intersection of Milwaukee Avenue and Townline Road.

This will be the 15th Rack store in Chicagoland following the announcement of new locations in Kildeer, IL and Schererville, IN opening this spring. The company also operates four full-line stores in the greater Chicago area including the downtown flagship store on Michigan Avenue.

New Nordstrom Rack at Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga, Ontario to open in fall 2018

The approximately 35,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2018. The property is owned and managed by Orlando Corporation.

The new Nordstrom Rack at Heartland Town Centre will join Costco, Loblaws, Marshalls, Winners, H&M and more. The center is west of downtown Toronto and located conveniently off of Highway 401, and the new store will be at the intersection of Mavis Road and Britannia Road.

NEW YORK & MONTREAL, 2016-Sep-23 — /EPR Retail News/ — Hudson’s Bay Company (TSX:HBC) today (September 22, 2016) announced plans to open its first Quebec Saks Fifth Avenue location in Montreal, within the historic Hudson’s Bay on Boulevard de Maisonneuve. The approximately 200,000 square-foot, multi-level store will be the largest Saks Fifth Avenue store in Canada and, similar to the award-winning approach taken at CF Toronto Eaton Centre, will be co-located with Hudson’s Bay in the same building. The opening is planned for Fall 2018.

The new Saks flagship store will offer customers designer product including: women’s designer ready-to-wear, handbags, accessories, beauty and men’s. The store will feature some of Saks’ exclusive offerings, including: 10022-SHOE, Saks Fifth Avenue’s signature women’s designer shoe salon, and a full service Fifth Avenue Club, complete with private suites and personal shopping consultants. Unique to the Montreal store will be a Quebec-themed Saks Fifth Avenue food hall.

Nordstrom Rack to open at The Ottawa Train Yards in Ontario on fall 2018
