MANGO launches new digital project with Camille Rowe, Julia Restoin Roitfeld and Alma Jodorowsky in three short films

Barcelona, 2016-Sep-06 — /EPR Retail News/ — The short film is the format chosen by MANGO for its new digital project, featuring the collaboration of the model and actress Camille Rowe, the creative director and model Julia Restoin Roitfeld and the actress, model and singer Alma Jodorowsky. Each one stars in a story about a journey inspired by aspects of their personality and in turn interprets the values of MANGO: modernity, femininity and positivity.

The first will be launched on 13 September, with Camille Rowe as the protagonist. The film, set in Marfa, transports Camille to the 30s alongside the legendary Bonnie and Clyde, who inspire the theme of the short film. The story of Bonnie Parker, a heroine of Camille, awakens her spirit of adventure and leads her to go on a road trip through the Texas desert. The mixture of French and American cultures and her bohemian, carefree and unconventional spirit make her the ideal ambassador to reveal the modern version of the MANGO woman.

Julia Restoin Roitfeld will star in the second one, whose plot will be revealed in October. This film will reveal what femininity means to her and how it is a part of her life, her passions and her environment. Julia is influenced by her considerable experience in the world of fashion, photography and creative directing, after having worked with top designers. Having grown up under the wing of a maternal figure so influential in the world of fashion has influenced the way she sees femininity.

Finally, Alma Jodorowsky will star in the third and final chapter of this mini-series, which can be seen in November, whose theme is positivity. Alma has worked as a model and an actress, both in film and on stage. She has starred in films such as Blue is the warmest colour and, more recently, Kids in Lovealongside Cara Delevingne. She is also part of the electronic duo Burning Peacocks, in which she is also a lyricist. Being the daughter and grand-daughter of artists, creativity and art are part of her DNA and are reflected in her charismatic, positive and fresh image.

MANGO was founded in 1984 and is today one of the leading fashion groups in the world. Based in its city of origin, Barcelona, the company has an extensive store network of 800,000 m2 in 110 countries. From its “El Hangar” Design Centre in Palau-solità i Plegamans, every year it designs 18,000 garments and accessories for wearing the season’s trends. The company, which owns the MANGO Woman, Man, Kids and Violeta lines, closed 2015 with sales of 2.327 billion euros, representing a 15% increase on 2014 and an EBITDA of 170 million euros. H&M launches 2016 Conscious Exclusive Collection available from April 7

The 2016 Conscious Exclusive Collection effortlessly merges a sense of history with modernity. Launched to coincide with the opening of the exhibition Fashion Forward – 300 years of Fashion at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, to which it pays homage, the collection conveys an idea of painterly and sophisticated elegance.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, 2016-Mar-22 — /EPR Retail News/ — The H&M design team has delved into the museum’s collections of archival fashions in order to pick up key pieces from the last three centuries of haute couture. The result is a contemporary and artistic collection that is soulful, progressive, conscious and truly unique. The collection will be available in approximately 180 stores worldwide and online from April 7.

“Working with innovative sustainable materials and ornate embellishment, the collection is a layering of references, shapes and textures topped off by intensely decorative accessories and deco-inspired bijoux,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

The fluid and easy silhouette revolves around languid dresses, arty kaftans and sculpted skirts. Prints add a dash of surprise, turning dresses into trompe l’oeil paintings or sculptures. A long ball gown with a deep neckline features a marble draping print; a liquid dress is adorned with a slice of Botticelli’s Three Graces. Short dresses and painter blouses ooze nonchalant sophistication, creating an electric and eclectic short-circuit between present and past.

“One of my favourite pieces from the collection is the mini asymmetric dress that was inspired by a painting by Gustave Moreau. I love the mix of a conscious, sustainable fabric and an old painting. It’s great to be able to have sustainable clothes that still look red carpet-ready,” says Julia Restoin Roitfeld, the face of the campaign.

Materials include organic silk, hemp, recycled linen and Tencel® blends as well as new innovative materials such as beads and rhinestones made from recycled glass and Denimite − a material made out of recycled worn-out denim, which H&M is the first fashion company to use.

Also new for this season’s launch of Conscious Exclusive are three wedding dresses − a feast of lightness and embellishment materialised in dreamy, draped lines, for the bride wanting to be as beautifully dressed as she is conscious.

H&M will be the exclusive sponsor of the upcoming exhibition “Fashion Forward – 300 years of Fashion” at Musée des Arts Décoratifs. Pamela Golbin is the Chief Curator of the exhibition.

H&M announces a collaboration with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, 2015-11-26 — /EPR Retail News/ — H&M is proud to announce a collaboration with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs located in the Palais du Louvre in Paris to celebrate the new H&M Conscious Exclusive collection. This beautiful new range has been inspired by the archives of the museum, and will be launched on Thursday 7th April to coincide with the opening of the hotly anticipated exhibition, Fashion forward – Three centuries of fashion. H&M is delighted to also reveal that Parisian art director, style maven and sustainability champion, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, will be the face of the campaign.

“I am honoured to be the ambassador of such a unique project. I think that the idea of creating a collection inspired by the history of art and fashion is brilliant. Especially since it is made with innovative and sustainable materials which are the future of fashion” says Julia. Known for her distinctive personal sense of style, Julia is the embodiment of effortless, conscious and modern cool.

For this Conscious Exclusive collection the H&M design team has worked closely with the museum, delving into their collections of archival fashions as well as the work of artists such as Gustave Moreau to find inspiration. The outcome is a glamorous line of modern red carpet pieces infused with tactile charm, a nostalgic aesthetic and a historical legacy.

“With this collection we brought the idea of sustainability to new levels. Working with new innovative materials such as beads and rhinestones made from recycled glass and Denimite, a material made from recycled worn-out denim. We have created contemporary styles imbued with a sophisticated charm” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor at H&M.

H&M will be the exclusive sponsor of the upcoming exhibition which will include selected styles from the H&M archives, including a look from the first ever H&M designer collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld in 2004 as well as one silhouette from the new Conscious Exclusive collection.

The complete collection, featuring clothing and accessories for women, will be available from Thursday 7th April in around 180 stores worldwide and online.
