Kroger stores in the Atlanta ratifies new labor agreements with UFCW Local 1996

ATLANTA, 2017-Jun-19 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) Atlanta division associates working at Kroger stores in the Atlanta metro and surrounding area have ratified new labor agreements with UFCW Local 1996.

“We are pleased to reach agreements that are good for our associates. These agreements provide good wage increases, affordable health care and stable pension funds to support our associates’ retirement,” said Bruce Lucia, president of Kroger’s Atlanta division. “These agreements come after thoughtful and productive work by both the company and union bargaining committees. I want to thank our associates for supporting these agreements and for the excellent service they provide to our customers every day.”

The contracts cover over 28,000 Kroger associates working in 164 stores in the Atlanta area and 11 stores in Savannah.

Kroger stores’ associates in Indianapolis market area ratified new labor agreement with UFCW Local 700

INDIANAPOLIS, 2016-May-16 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) associates working at Kroger stores in the Indianapolis market area of the company’s Central division have ratified a new labor agreement with UFCW Local 700.

“We are pleased to reach an agreement that is good for our associates and also allows us to be competitive and grow in the Indianapolis area,” said Katie Wolfram, president of Kroger’s Central division. “This agreement comes after thoughtful, respectful and productive work by both company and union representatives. I commend both teams for their professionalism.”

“I want to thank our associates for supporting this agreement, as well as for the excellent service they provide every day to our customers and company,” Ms. Wolfram said.

The contract covers over 5,800 associates working in 61 stores in the Indianapolis area and other communities, including Bloomington, Columbus, Kokomo, Richmond and New Castle.

Kroger Stores to Debut New Brand of Imported Products From Food-Rich Regions of the World

CINCINNATI, 2015-9-28 — /EPR Retail News/ — The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) family of stores is bringing the delectable flavors of Italy to its customers during the two-week event, Savor World Flavor: Taste of Italy.

Taste of Italy brings delicious, easy-to-prepare recipes with robust flavors such as freshly prepared prosciutto with melon, gourmet chicken parmesan, and rich tiramisu dip to local Kroger stores throughout the country.

Select stores will host unique “Crack the Parm” events with a cheese specialist showing how to crack a 78 pound of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, and samples of the authentic flavors of Italy during the company’s second world cuisine celebration. Last year marked the first Savor World Flavor event,Taste of Mexico.
