Office Depot announces new loyalty program

The program has been updated to ensure every member is rewarded, and by creating a VIP tier, gives members even more savings while delivering an exclusive experience. The company conducted extensive research, including a year-long pilot in several markets, to gather customer feedback and used their input and data to redesign a program that best meets customer needs.

“’Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards Everything’ simplifies our loyalty program by offering 2 percent back in rewards on everything, and we mean everything,” said Lukana Justin, vice president of customer marketing for Office Depot, Inc. “It’s simple to use and save while providing members with quicker access to rewards.”

With no minimum thresholds for redeeming reward dollars, members can access and use their available rewards any time at any Office Depot and OfficeMax stores or on officedepot.com.

Signing up for the program has been simplified with card-free enrollment. In addition, “Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards Everything” integrates seamlessly with the company’s mobile app.

Customers who spend more, such as small businesses, can take advantage of “Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards Everything’s” VIP Tier. After spending $500 within a year, VIP members will receive free delivery with no minimum purchase and earn 5 percent back on ink, toner, paper, printing and copying services for 12 months. VIP Members also receive exclusive perks such as special promotions, a birthday offer and free product samples or services.

All members of the new program will also have access to member-only promotions and personalized offers based on their shopping habits. Additionally, “Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards Everything’s” members can earn $2 in rewards by posting online product reviews.

New Nordstrom Rewards Visa® credit card expands Nordstrom’s loyalty program in Canada

SEATTLE, 2017-May-16 — /EPR Retail News/ — Nordstrom, Inc. announced it is expanding its loyalty program in Canada, providing customers with a new opportunity to earn points for their purchases and access to exclusive perks. Beginning today, Canadian customers can apply for the Nordstrom Rewards Visa® credit card and earn points on their purchases wherever they shop. The Nordstrom Rewards Visa will be offered through MBNA, a division of The Toronto-Dominion Bank and the leading provider of co-branded and affinity credit card programs in Canada.

For every 2,000 points earned, customers receive a $20 Nordstrom Note in their inbox that can be redeemed at all Nordstrom stores in Canada for any merchandise or services that they choose.

Nordstrom Rewards Visa® cardholders will also be able to take advantage of exclusive benefits including:

Bonus Point Events – Cardholders have access to Triple Points events throughout the year, where they can earn six points per dollar for eligible Nordstrom purchases. Customers only have to spend $334 during a Triple Points event to earn a $20 Nordstrom Note.

Anniversary Sale Early Access – Every July, Nordstrom Rewards Visa® credit cardholders get to shop the Anniversary Sale – the retailer’s biggest sale of the year – before it opens to the public. The sale features brand-new, just-arrived styles for men, women and kids at super-sale prices for a limited time. When the event ends, all sale items return to their original prices.

Rite Aid Corporation enhances its loyalty program wellness+ thanks to its participation in Plenti

Through Plenti, the first U.S.-based consumer loyalty coalition, Rite Aid will transition its existing loyalty program, of which there are nearly 25 million active members, towellness+ with Plenti. As part of the Plenti coalition, Rite Aid joins other major retailers including AT&T, ExxonMobil, Macy’s, Nationwide Insurance, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Direct Energy and Hulu to offer consumers numerous ways to earn Plenti points and use them for savings.

Through wellness+ with Plenti, customers can use one card and earn two kinds of points.

Members will continue to earn wellness+ points for every one dollar spent on eligible non-prescription purchases and up to 25 wellness+ points for every eligible prescription, good toward various benefits at Rite Aid including discounts of up to 20% off storewide, exclusive sale prices and 24/7 access to a pharmacist.

In addition, they’ll also be able to earn a new additional set of points, Plenti points, whenever they make qualifying purchases at Rite Aid and all other Plenti partners.

Through wellness+ with Plenti, +UP rewards are now Plenti points. Plenti points offer even more value because they can be used for savings at Rite Aid as well as certain other Plenti partners including Exxon, Macy’s and Mobil and can be used to at least two years.

One Plenti point earned at Rite Aid is worth at least one cent in savings, so 1,000 Plenti points are worth at least $10 in savings. Plenti points can be earned at Rite Aid in-store and online, through rotating product offers such as 400 points when you buy 2 bottles of vitamins or 800 points on oral care products.
