Wincor Nixdorf to replace 500 information terminals at BMW Group’s German and international locations

Wincor Nixdorf to deliver 500 info terminals to auto manufacturer and handle subsequent operation

Paderborn, Germany, 2014-7-2 — /EPR Retail News/ — Wincor Nixdorf has received an order from the BMW Group to replace 500 information terminals at the automaker’s German and international locations. The terminals enable the company’s employees to access corporate intranet applications. In its role as general contractor, Wincor Nixdorf will install the customized CINEO terminals in the customer’s plants and operate them for a period of 54 months.

Back in 2004, Wincor Nixdorf was tasked with implementing the first batch of information terminals for the BMW Group. Now, the company has again trumped the competition to land the replacement order. The new terminals will enable employees in BMW’s production plants and workshops who do not have their own dedicated workstations to view their flextime accounts and access information on the corporate intranet. In addition to plants in Germany, the terminals are also being installed in Austria and the UK.
