IKEA takes product safety very seriously. All our products are tested to and comply with applicable testing standards and legislation.
IKEA is recalling all GOTHEM floor and table lamps as cables damaged during manufacturing of some units could contact the metal body of the lamp, posing a shock hazard to consumers.
All three models of GOTHEM lamps – two table lamps and one floor lamp – are affected by the recall.
The lamps are brush-finished nickel plated and have a dimmer switch. The floor lamp is 49 inches tall, and the table lamps are 18 and 14 inches tall. A label attached to the underside of each lamp base is printed with the name “Gothem” and the IKEA logo.
The GOTHEM lamps have been sold in the US stores and online between October 2015 and February 2016.
