MPPA keeps continuing to execute and deliver its expansion strategy throughout the country with a series of new store openings across its business formats. The Hypermart Baturaja Citimall is 20th store within Sumatra Island.

The new store is strategically located within the growing province of South Sumatera along with other existing Hypermart stores already operating in the city of Palembang and other areas within the province. The store has adopted the latest G7 concept with gross selling area of ± 6,500 m². This format features a new and improved store design. Unilever, hypermart to build better world for children through the 2nd campaign of BrightFuture

Recognizing the importance of this issue, Unilever re-invite hypermart in a collaboration to build a better world for children through the 2nd campaign of BrightFuture, themed “So Long Old World”. The campaign aims for consumers to be active in doing the real things to build a brighter future for all of us. Unilever and hypermart invite consumers to be aware of and playing an important role in creating a better world.

“So Long Old World” wants to engage the society to abandon the pessimistic perspective about our world that is full of problems; and building a new and better world, especially for our children. A world where children can grow in a sustainable environment, healthy and live a happy childhood.

This campaign will run from October 6, 2016 to November 1, 2016. During the campaign period, each specific purchase of Unilever products at hypermart include; Lifebuoy, Pepsodent, Blue band, Domestos, Vixal and Rinso, consumers will automatically donate Rp. 500, – to improve or complement the playground facilities.

The playground will be refurbished in five cities in Indonesia, namely; Jakarta, Bandung, Medan, Makassar and Yogyakarta. Facilities to be repaired or completed include, hand washing facilities / education on how to wash your hands, hygienic toilet facilities / cleaning equipment, playing facilities and also some educational materials on nutrition as well as how to brush teeth.

Indonesian retailer MPPA collaborates with Tetra Pak

Tetra Pak is a leading food packaging company in the world that partners with EcoBali and continue the CSR program “One Pack, One Act for Our Earth”, where the program’s inauguration is conducted at Hypermart Bali Galeria.

This program portrays a form of awareness by MPPA and Tetra Pak Indonesia on the environment, at providing an educational facilities and real action to build awareness and develop a conscious behavior to consumers on the environment and society at large.

MPPA and Tetra Pak Indonesia have set up five Tetra Pak cartons collection centers at Hypermart and Foodmart outlets in Bali. This program aims for customers real action to bring Tetra Pak carton packages that have been consumed to the drop box to be collected and recycled. The “One Pack, One Act for Our Earth” campaign program in Bali in 2015 will last for three months.

The Customers can get a free exciting recycling education at Hypermart Galeria and given the opportunity to get souvenirs made from recycled Tetra Pak carton packaging as a form of appreciation for the support and real actions.

PT. Matahari Putra Prima Tbk opened its 105th Hypermart at one of the largest modern shopping centers in Bau-Bau, Indonesia

Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA), a modern multi-format retailer in Indonesia, which operates Hypermart, Foodmart and Boston Health & Beauty, opened its 105th Hypermart. The new Hypermart is located at Lippo Plaza Buton, one of the largest modern shopping centers in Bau-Bau. This outlet is the first Hypermart located in Bau-Bau and the 2nd outlet in Southeast Sulawesi Province.

The opening ceremony was attended by MPPA management’s team, the regent of Bombana, Southeast Sulawesi, H. Tafdil, the mayor of Bau-bau, A.S Tamrin, and invited guests.

Danny Kojongian, Director of Communications and Public Relations stated, “The opening of Bau-Bau is in line with MPPA expansion strategy to expand into secondary cities. The presence of Hypermart will aide in boosting the economy in Bau-Bau,” he continued.

Hypermart awarded in Charta Peduli Indonesia 2014 as a Top CSR Social Development Program for category of Social Disaster organized by Dompet Dhuafa

Matahari Putra Prima Tbk (MPPA), a modern multi-format retailer in Indonesia, announced its core business, Hypermart, was awarded in Charta Peduli Indonesia 2014 as a Top CSR Social Development Program for Category of Social Disaster organized by Dompet Dhuafa.

The award was given by Executive Director of Dompet Dhuafa, Yuli Pujihardi to Director of Communications & Public Relations MPPA, Danny Kojongian. The event was held in Jakarta on Wednesday (12/17/2014).

“MPPA is proud to receive the special award from Dompet Dhuafa. The award is a form of public appreciation of our commitment in terms of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). We will continue our efforts in various CSR programs that will be launched in 2015 and we are truly thankful for all the positive support”, said Danny Kojongian.
