FAN Mallorca Shopping is a new open air shopping center in Mallorca and aims to become the reference leisure, shopping and catering complex of the Balearic Islands, boasting brands of global significance. it hosts the biggest brands such as Primark, H&M, Décathlon, Mango and a renovated Carrefour hypermarket . Majorca’s new meeting, shopping and leisure space also has a spectacular restaurant and eateries area and an open air leisure area where visitors to FAN can enjoy attractions such as a wave pool or a climbing wall.
Designed by the famous practice Broadway Malyan, FAN Mallorca Shopping covers a Gross Leasable Area (GLA) of around 66,000 m2, it houses 113 stores set on two floors and a car park with 2,500 space capacity. Its development entailed the generation of 2,400 jobs during the works phase, 1,500 direct jobs when it was commissioned and another 2,000 indirect ones.
A unique customer experience in Spain
FAN is a space where the customer benefits from the best visiting experience, both real and virtual thanks to the state-of-the-art technologies with which it has been equipped. The space has an intelligent music system (audiobranding) developed by the well-known DJ and musical producer Carlos Jean and his production company Muwom. Based on a striking technological deployment and a fine musical selection, FAN will have up to eight acoustically differentiated areas, designed so that each visit is different and unique.
The visitor becomes a protagonist in an experience unknown until now in a commercial complex, where music will accompany them on every trip. The FAN system has created different playlists which will offer the visitor versions of the same song that will vary depending on where they happen to be in the commercial complex, and even depending on the time of day or period of the year. The functionalities include the possibility of following on Spotify the FAN MUSIC playlists, which will be updated monthly thanks to the suggestions of the users on the collaborative playlists.
FAN also has an innovative app, developed by Mobdala, which integrates special services such as geolocalisation, updated and personalised information, availability of parking places and access to FAN MUSIC, which enables the user to listen, vote and make suggestions of songs to be included in FAN’s music.
This technological deployment also includes some spectacular digital screens integrated both in the facade and the interior of the complex, and the incorporation of the most advanced audiovisual technology in the elevators and signage. Amongst these innovations an outstanding feature is the big 120 m2 screen which dominates the external facade of FAN, a 3D screen and the digital staircase for accessing the upper level, unique in Spain’s retail sector.
