TOKYO, 2014-9-2 — /EPR Retail News/ — Lawson, Inc. (Head Office: Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo; President and CEO, Representative Director: Genichi Tamatsuka) has announced the following organizational and personnel changes effective September 1, 2014.
Organizational changes
With the aim to enhance the execution of operations, the following organizational changes has been made.
- 1) Abolition of the in-house company system and set up of five business divisions
- The in-house company system was abolished and five business divisions were introduced.
International Business Division, Lawson Mart and Lawson Store 100 Business Division, Healthcare Business Division and Home CVS Business Division were set up.
- 2) Introduction of Operation Division and Management Division to support the Business Divisions
- Store Operations Division, Corporate Sales and Store Development Division, Merchandising Division and Entertainment & Consumer Service Division were introduced as the supporting function to the regional offices and the business divisions. These support for five business divisions.
Marketing Division and BPR & Information Systems Division were set up as Management Division to control the whole organization of headquarters.
