ShopRite’s second annual “Fowl” Shots for Food Banks turkey donation event

Keasbey, New Jersey, 2015-11-20 — /EPR Retail News/ — Representatives from ShopRite and the Food Bank for New York City and players from the world famous Harlem Globetrotters participated in ShopRite’s second annual “Fowl” Shots for Food Banks turkey donation event at ShopRite of Forest and Richmond in Staten Island on Wednesday, November 18. ShopRite store associates and customers, along with the Harlem Globetrotters players, took turns shooting “fowl” shots, and for each basket made ShopRite Partners In Caring, ShopRite’s year-round hunger fighting initiative, donated a case of turkeys to the food bank. At the end of the event, 400 turkeys were donated to the Food Bank for New York City, which is among the 60 tons of turkeys ShopRite Partners In Caring will donate this holiday season to food banks local food banks throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland.
