- Drivers filling up at any of Asda’s 277 filling stations across the country will only pay 101.7ppl on unleaded and 104.7 ppl on diesel
LEEDS, England, 2015-12-10 — /EPR Retail News/ — Effective from tomorrow (Wednesday 9th December) Asda brings some festive cheer to drivers as it announces a 2ppl price cut on fuel. Asda’s new national price cap sees unleaded down to 101.7ppl and 104.7ppl on diesel.
Asda’s new national price cap means that unlike other retailers who work on ‘average prices’ – drivers will pay no more than 101.7ppl on unleaded and 104.7ppl on diesel at any single one of Asda’s 277 filling stations.
Asda is the only retailer that has a national price cap on fuel at all filling stations, ensuring every single one of our customers knows the maximum price they will pay at the pump regardless of where they live.
Andy Peake, Asda’s Senior Petrol Director, said: “We’re giving drivers an early Christmas present as fuel prices continue to fall. We know how important it is to pass savings back into motorist’s pockets in the crucial run-up to the festive period.
“We know our competitors are likely to follow but Asda don’t have a postcode lottery on fuel meaning no matter where customers live, they will benefit from the same fuel price with our national price cap of 101.7ppl for unleaded and 104.7ppl for diesel.”
