BEIJING, 2014-4-4 — /EPR Retail News/ — After one month of voting and selection, on March 25 in Beijing, Carrefour China organized together with Guangming Daily, Guangming Website, and China International Publishing Group, the result announcing ceremony of “Top 10 Most Influential French Books in China & Top 10 most influential Chinese books in France”.
Mr. He Dongping, Editor-in-chief of Guangming Daily, Mr. Zhou Mingwei, Director General of China International Publishing Group, Mr. Wang Meng, Former Minister of Culture, Mr Jacques Pellet, French Embassy in China, and Mr. Thierry GARNIER, Vice-president of Carrefour Group and President & CEO of Carrefour China attended the event.
Mr. Thierry GARNIER delivered a speech on the ceremony: ” Carrefour’s Chinese name, ‘Jia Le Fu’ means wish all families a happy life. Books are important to our civilization. They pass down knowledge and wisdom of human beings, enrich our lives and bring us happiness. This meets well with Carrefour’s value and concept.” He said also that we wish to make more contributions to the economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between France and China.
