Bartell Drugs to open its newest location in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District on September 17

SEATTLE, 2016-Sep-15 — /EPR Retail News/ — Showcasing new features for convenience and quality products, family-owned Bartell Drugs unveils its newest location in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District (CID) on September 17.

The 11,656-square-foot store is the 65th location in the chain’s regional network and is being considered a signature store in the chain’s expansion into additional urban neighborhoods.

Located at the intersection of 4th and Jackson streets, the store is near one of the region’s major public transportation hubs, sited across from King Street station which houses Amtrak and the Sounder commuter train. Additionally, it is near the thriving cultural and business centers of Pioneer Square and the Chinatown-International District.

“Bartell Drugs is thrilled to be part of this dynamic neighborhood,” says Bartell President and CEO Brian Unmacht. “Our line-up of great products, convenience and superior red vest service will be a boon to both commuters and area residents alike.”

The store’s full-service pharmacy offers a spacious waiting area and a wide range of healthcare options focused on convenience. Other store features include an expanded cosmetics section showcasing seasonal and on-trend colors, shades and products; a thirst-quenching growler fill spot called “Northwest on Tap” offering locally-crafted microbrews; Caffé Vita espresso and coffee; and a tasty grab-and-go food section with a selection of freshly made sandwiches and pastries.

Grand opening festivities take place Saturday, September 17 from 8:00 a.m. to noon. There will be exclusive giveaways including exciting gift baskets and Travel Clinic kits, special offers at our ice cream fountain and growler fill bar, and great deals throughout the store. Plus, the first 200 people through the door will receive a limited-edition Bartell Tumbler with a Bartell Drug’s gift card inside, ranging from $5 to $500. A traditional Chinese lion dance will also occur as a welcome into the neighborhood.

Goodman Real Estate was the project developer and the contractor was Venture General Contracting. Jan Caraang will be the store’s manager and Hoa Tran is the pharmacy manager.
