Sao Paulo,Brazil, 2016-Nov-16 — /EPR Retail News/ — On 10 November, Carrefour Brazil unveiled the latest branch of its convenience store format. The opening in Sao Paulo of the 50th Carrefour Express store reinforces the company’s investment in a sector that offers customers improved levels of flexibility and comfort, focusing on a daily range of fresh and ready-to-consume items. The new store is located within the Metrô Tucuruvi mall, in the city’s northern sector. It is the network’s fourth store to be opened in a shopping centre, following those already located in Shopping Metrópole (in São Bernardo do Campo, SP), and CENESP (Centro Empresarial São Paulo) and Mais Shopping in the state capital.

The Express brand further diversifies the services offered by Carrefour Brazil, enabling the group to meet the growing demand among customers for quicker visits to stores located in the vicinity of their homes or the workplace. The company’s first store in this format was opened back in the second half of 2014, in the district of Tatuapé. In addition to the stores in São Bernardo do Campo, Santo André (SP), São Caetano (SP), Osasco (SP) and Barueri (SP), the format is also now present in districts such as Jardim Paulista, Saúde, Moema, Santo Amaro, Vila Mariana, República, Itaim, Mooca, Pinheiros, Vergueiro and Tucuruvi, all located within the city of Sao Paulo itself.

To guarantee the most user-friendly shopping experience, the layout of Carrefour Express stores has been specially designed with customer shopping habits in mind, and the products are arranged in such a way as to make it easier for customers to find their desired items. As is the case for each branch of Carrefour Express, the Metrô Tucuruvi store has been adapted to respond to the characteristics and demands of the surrounding district, taking various factors into consideration such as the sales area and range of products on offer.
